  1. Please introduce your essay with an opening paragraph. Include a sentence on Media and Audience and how important audiences are to media products and the importance of getting the product right for the desired TA. Then conclude your opening paragraph with different ways media producers can define their TA before going on to explain what each one is.

    Throughout your essay:
    You have defined each section correctly but you need to add elements from YOUR chosen media and CRITICALLY discuss the pro's and cons for each section.
    For example: When discussing socio-economic status, rather than just describing it detail how this form of research would benefit the industry and in particular your industry and how advertising agencies would use this way of gathering TA information and if it is beneficial.

    The marking criteria for a D is:
    critically evaluate the different methods of categorisation of media audiences – that is, they will compare, assess and discriminate between them,

    They will provide fuller and more extensive explanation of how media organisations gather information and how they use it to construct profiles of their audiences, or will use research methods effectively to gather substantial information about an audience

    I will remark this essay on Sunday 5th May for a final grade.
